Phone is made in China

I heard for the Moto X to be built in America it only costed like $5 per phone, completely worth it imo.

Moto X was assembled in America. Many parts are still coming from abroad. If every single component was made fully in America, the cost would be much higher

Like someone else mentioned, it's just a tolerance issue.

Also my phone is made in Korea FWIW. I'm pretty sure Samsung has factories all over the world.

Aren't the current "build quality" champions (HTC One & Iphone) also assembled in China??
If you go country by country you can find examples of products that are assembled in any particular country that are God awful. The "Mighty Geo Metro & Ford Aspire" to name a few American made products that were/are total abominations. The only reasons companies are assembling in China is cost, companies like Master Lock & Caterpillar are assembled and made in America and pay a pretty high cost for that distinction.
