Ugh, this is driving me nuts. My phone is basically brand new, got it last Saturday. On Sunday I rooted it but I didn't flash a custom ROM, still running stock. I've been using Nova/Apex launcher to customize my home screen since I'm a huge minimalist. It's just weird though, I can't reproduce it on my own. I'll just be doing random things and it will freeze and I have to hold the power button down until it reboots. It did it tonight and when it rebooted, I unlocked the screen and it froze again right away. Just a couple minutes ago I picked it up and unlocked it and it rebooted on it's own. It's kind of starting to piss me off. I can't imagine that rooting it would have anything to do with it since all I did was simply root it.

As far as apps causing the problem, I don't know. I'm kind of starting to wonder if the third party launchers are causing this. Before I uninstalled the launchers and lose the way I have it customized (I've spent hours upon hours on it), I wanted to see if anyone else has been having this problem. I only used the phone for about a day before I rooted it and it never did it then, but then again I didn't use it much before it was rooted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

EDIT: Just as soon as I finished this post I picked the phone up, unlocked the screen, and the home screen was frozen again

It's freezing EVERYTIME I unlock the screen so I can't even get into the settings to uninstall the launchers. This is really pissing me off.

UPDATE: I couldn't get it to stop freezing so I performed a factory reset through CWM, everything seems good now. Still curious as to what was causing it to keep freezing though. Any ideas?

Either an unstable app, or combination of apps, or a corrupted file somewhere.

Well, I had Apex and Nova installed at the same time and it happened more often when Nova was set as the default launcher. I'm gonna try ADW and see how that works.

Sent from a Galaxy far away...

if you go with adw launcher I would spend a couple dollars and get adw launcher ex its way better and much more customizable
