Phone keeps telling me to update Samsung Pay

But it doesn't need updating? It is already the most up to date version? How do I stop these notifications?

Go to app, kill its notification permissions.

If you haven't, try restarting the phone, then clear the apps cache; if it still gives you false updates sign out then back in to your Samsung acct. Finally if none of these worked, delete Samsung Pay wait 30m then reinstall. You'll have to re-start your CC's in the app but not re-enter. Good Luck!
