I noticed last night Google maps went silent once I started driving. Then again when I talked to Bixby while driving this morning. I saw the phone light and words going across the screen so I know she heard me but no sound. I'm assuming this is some driving feature? How do I get sound while driving? Don't want to look at my phone while driving, without sound it's pretty useless! I'm sure there's an easy fix, I just don't know how. I searched driving mode under settings and it said not found

re:

It's not that it went silent - it is trying to play through your car's audio system. Unfortunately (if your is like mine) it can only do so when you switch the headunit mode to "Phone" or some such.

The best solution I have found for Google maps is to open Maps, go to Settings -> Navigation Settings and disable "Play voice over Bluetooth". That will cause Maps to use the phone's speaker regardless of what else you may be connected to.

As a more general solution, Go to Settings -> Bluetooth -> More Settings, click the gear icon alongside your car's entry, and then uncheck Media Audio.

Aaah it never occurred tho me out was trying to go through my speakers lol, that makes sense. I'll check into your suggestions thanks

Yes, thanks! I did not know I could disable maps over bluetooth. That will save me some frustration.

Yup that was it, thank you! Now I'll have to find a car forum to find out why maps won't go through my speakers lol
