Phone not unlockable?

Hi!

I'm considering buying a new AT&T LG V10 off of eBay, and the seller states that the phone is not blacklisted, but is not unlockable. How is this possible? If the phone isn't blacklisted, shouldn't I just be able to request an unlock from AT&T? I am currently a customer.

Normally that is the case. But keep in mind that if it was bought on contract or device payment plan then you need to wait until the contract or dpp has been fulfilled. Perhaps ask the seller for clarification

OK, I just contacted the seller and he/she confirmed that the phone cannot be unlocked. Thanks for your help!
