Phone only seems to ring for contacts

I am stumped. My phone only appears to ring if the caller is in my contacts. Any other calls will show up on the screen (and ring on my watch) but not on the phone. I have been through my phone settings multiple times but cannot seem to find the right setting. Help!

Do Not Disturb is off, or not scheduled, right?

My Do Not Disturb is turned on for between 10pm and 7am. Then under exceptions I have enabled All Calls so that the phone will ring but no other alerts during that time.

Which watch do you have? I presume it's a Samsung watch, which I don't have -- but one of the many Galaxy Watch users on this forum might be able to assist.

Unpair the watch see if its the watch causing this or phone

I have the Galaxy Watch 5. Funny thing. Today a spam call did ring on my phone! Only thing I did was toggle on and off the Do Not Disturb. Too soon to say its fixed but I am hopeful.
