So, I set up a password for my BLU One Life x2 and then set up my fingerprint to use. There are times where it doesn't read my fingerprint and asks for the password, which is fine, except I can't remember what password I set up! When I go to Settings > Security > Screen lock "Password", it asks for my password and doesn't give an option if I've forgotten it. Am I in the wrong spot?

The backup password that you're asked to create when you set up the fingerprint is very important to remember, because the phone will still ask you for it from time to time, like when you power it on from a powered off state.
Some phones will prompt you for your Google account and password if you fail the unlock enough times, but most don't. Some people might suggest using Android Device Manager to remotely change the password, but from my understanding, this only works if the phone didn't have a lock set in the first place.
