Device: LG thinq v40 from T-Mobile
Android version 10

I bought a used LG thinq v40 6-7 months back, and everything worked fine until the last 2 weeks, the phone started shutdown even if it had 90% battery. Things that i did to solve the problem are deleting apps, and monitoring the battery, but I don't see any occur. Before my phone shuts down pops up empty battery and the turns off, also sometimes when I push the button to start the device, a circle with question mark blinking shows up. I want to mention the phone overheats, but not all the time periodically.
So far I believe that the battery is broken, and needs to be changed, but I would like a second opinion from you. Also what tool I can use to open the back?, looks tight and my student card want fit.

Sounds like it’s time for a replacement battery. Make sure the device will continue to be supported by TMO VoLTE after 3G shutdown. On TMO website, there’s an IMEI checker.
