Question Phone sound stops abruptly and call ends after 1 ring

I have a Realme 9 4G phone. The sound of this phone stops for a brief moment and plays again. The media doesn't pause, just the speaker goes off. I tried connecting an earphone but the problem is still there. I tried Bluetooth earphones as well with no luck. The sound stops abruptly no matter what.

Another problem is, I cannot make or receive any call with the phone. The call cuts after 1 ring for both incoming and outgoing calls.

I tried changing different settings and followed a lot of tutorials from YouTube only to be disappointed. As a final solution I tried hard resetting the phone but the issue is still there. Not sure what is causing this issue, any idea?

For the call issue -- what country are you in and which carrier are you using? Are you certain your carrier supports that phone?

Thanks for the reply. I'm from Bangladesh and I have been using the phone for the last 2 years with no problem.

Did you try Safe Mode yet?

You may also want to speak to your carrier about replacing your SIM card, because SIMs can become faulty.

I tried safe mode and changed the SIM card twice. Nothing seems to work. How likely is it that it's a Hardware issue?

I'd say the likelihood is pretty high, considering that it persists in Safe Mode and after a factory reset. You could take it to a repair shop, but it may not be worth the cost ...
