Android Central Question

I just deleted all of my photos and videos. The settings screen still displays that the memory is still full. But it says that there arent any pics or vids. I wanted to download a new app so... Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? How did you delete your photos and videos?

You might find out that you have not really freed up the storage space on your iPhone/iPad after deleting a large amount of photos and videos in Photo app on your iDevice, and you notice that there are a bunch of photos and videos still store in the "Recently Deleted" folder in the photo app.

FYI, this is an Android forum, so it's unlikely the OP has an iOS device.

I think I have a lg kv20. As I said I wanted to download a new app, but there wasn't enough storage on my device. I bought a memory stick to move over 4 gb of pictures to free up space. After I copied all the pics and vids to the flash drive, I deleted all the photos and vids from the gallery.

If your pictures are set to be stored in Google Photos, you just deleted them from the site, they were on your phone only long enough for the phone to sync them to the site. So deleting them didn't clear up space on the phone.

The pictures were stored on the internal storage. The wierd thing is, on the first screen when you open the settings the storage says 15.59 gb used of 16 gb. But when you click on the storage menu, it says that there are 0 mb of pictures. Same with videos. Before I deleted the pictures and videos it said 4.67 gb. So it seems that the first screen won't update.

The reason it says there is 19 gb is that there is a sd card in it. I know it is empty.
