Phone stuck on EMUI update screen

[Android Central Question]

I have had my honor 9 for 4 months & when turning it on, I get a EMUI screen. I selected the 'reboot system now' option but it just keeps rebooting back to the same screen. I have tried pressing the power & volume up button, but it still comes back to the same screen & now I can't use my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
