Hello,
I have a question, my mother's HTC Inspire phone is acting weird.
I tried to reboot it but it just get's stuck in the HTC Logo Bootup screen and won't get out, I've tried numerous battery pulls and it still keeps getting stuck.
I tried to do the Volume down and power button and I got into the Loader, but when I pressed the power button down to get the recovery it would not go, the up and down button did nothing in the loader, so it would just load the Hboot, and was wondering if i should do the update it is telling me?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

- Thank You!

Try the update and see but did you try to root it? If you unsuccessfully rooted it you basically bricked it if this is a problem after an Italy update the boot loader is somehow damaged I suggest if its stock and under warrenty take it to HTC or at&t immediately if its not under warrenty look on xda for a unbrick and if you must get it back to recovery no h boot use stock ruin loader see if that works ;)

To elaborate on what is going on:

-The phone has minor water damage. It did eventually boot after it dried out.

-The phone also manages to boot into Android after a long boot (20-30 minutes), but the screen is unresponsive and it is saying there is no SIM card.

It can load the HBOOT (S-OFF) but won't boot into any type of custom recovery. I don't think one was installed, or it got corrupted.

-I can access fastboot, but can't use ADB.

-Flashing using the RUU or Manually putting the zip in the root of the card don't seem to alleviate the problem.

I tried pushing the files using fastboot, but it is not an engineering HBOOT and won't allow me to write to the recovery or install Cyanogen or the Stock ROM.

I have a problem with "The phone has minor water damage". That very well could be the root of all the problems.

Yeah, my mother dropped in the the dogs water bowl...
I tried to pull the battery out as fast as i could but she has a case on it. But I had it off for almost 2 days put the battery back in, and it booted up just fine.
Worked for a little over a week and just started having problems last night.

Man hmmmm well rooted water damage???? Try to see if you can unroot it check that little white tabpaper on the battery cover or the similar SD Co er if its not red you can in root it reflash stock and if its still under 1 year warrenty go through at&t and get a new one but if none of the above applies do an insurrance claim otherwise your gonna have to get a new phone and the inspire hit keolaakea end of life its no longer in stores and their liquidating it online so you mite be looking at a vivid software wont help if the hardware is makes up with water damage that metal they use in the internals just corrodes.
