I did a phone swap from 1 Z Fold 7 to another and ever since the swap Google RCS messages don't work. It shows I'm connected to RCS but my messages fail to send and resend as texts. I've tried multiple things even resetting the phone, readding e Sim. I was on the phone with both Samsung and my carrier and they can't figure it out.

Have you tried clearing cache in Google messages. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling Google messages if clearing cache doesn't work.

Before doing that go to Google messages settings and make sure RCS is turned on.

Yes we tried that. I even did a factory reset.

Go to settings>connections>mobile network>APN upper right corner tap to reset APN then go back in to make sure it's highlighted, also can try resetting network this will reset WiFi password and Bluetooth devices.

I have had this happen before when switching between Android phones. Usually going into settings-Apps-google messages- then clearing cache then am clear storage Then restart the phone. That process usually works for me.

Tried that and it still didn't work.

Something you can try that I have done in the past, granted this was a long time ago.

Messages > Profile Pic > Messages Settings > RCS Chats > Turn RCS Chats OFF

Force Close Messages App > Clear Cache > Reboot Phone

Leave RCS Chats off for a few hours (overnight if you can), then turn it back on and see if that helps.

Maybe the carrier can suspend your account and then reactivate it. Something on the carrier side and maybe taking it offline and back will get it configured correctly.

I had the same issue few days ago. Tried everything to fix it and failed. Finally, I swapped the SIM to old phone, disabled RCS, waited few mins and then swapped SIM to new phone. After that RCS is up immediately.
