Phone Waking Up Randomly?

Hey guys!

I love my Honor 8. It is doing so well for being 7 months old. However, the phone sometimes wakes to the lockscreen, even when I have no notifications. It didn't bother me much at all until today, when it happened multiple tines. Has anyone else encountered this glitch? Any particular meaning behind it?

I've had phones do that, but realize the thing is always checking stuff. Have an alarm set, whats the weather, hows the mobile data connection, list is very long on what modern cells do when they're sitting doing 'nothing'.

Thank you! It was just a little concerting that it happened so many times yesterday. Otherwise it's running okay.

Are you having any problems with battery life? If not then I wouldn't worry about it

Have you tried to do any troubleshooting on the other phones? Even if you don't know what's causing it, perhaps it can eliminate some possibilities.

It's very strange, for sure! My phone isn't waking as often now, but it's still every once in a while.

Actually I ugh remember why. I have the 360 Security app that let me hide some notifications away. And when the notifications show up, my phone will wake up but then the app will hide it so it shows there's nothing on my phone when I open it

Nope! But I do have notifications disabled for specific apps so maybe that's why my phone randomly wakes sometimes... Thanks for the tip!

That's weird that the app won't fully disable the notification, just hide it. Hopefully it can be improved in the future. Still, thanks for sharing... This could help someone who has this problem

Try to re enable thise app notifications to see if you still have the same issue

If you're okay with a sort of hack-y fix, perhaps using a flip cover case (that has magnets) would stop it from turning on and/or registering accidental touches.

This is a good idea! Thank you! It's weird - now it doesn't wake nearly as often as it used to haha. Sometimes I'll notice it wake, but it's still not very often... Unless it does it while I'm asleep or something.
