Phone will not charge or even turn on when on USB or AC power

I've tried USB to PC, wall charger, and wireless charger. None have any effect on the phone.

If I try to turn it on while plugged into a power source, an empty battery will appear on the screen with no indication of it charging.

Is this a bad battery or could there be another issue? I tried contacting Motorola support and got an email telling me to go through all these troubleshooting steps that I can't do since the phone won't turn on. It's only 4 months old and the battery shouldn't be dead yet.

You're not using the same cable each time, right? Cables do short out.

Also, leave the wall charger plugged in overnight and see if that makes any difference. If the battery got completely drained out, it may take a while to recharge.

No a different cable for each way I tried to charge it. I knows it's plugged in since I can get a battery to appear on the black screen, but it's not charging and it won't turn on.
