Phone will not recognize new desk dock or car dock

It's okay, I just laughed out loud when I saw it.

I did try flashing some of the partitions (including the system partition) from the 98.72.22 file, but that didn't work. I do want to try fully wiping and resetting everything, but I don't want to do that unless I have time to reinstall all of my apps and set everything up the way that I want it. If all of that doesn't work, I'm going to eventually swap my personal and work phones. I can live without the car mode, but I really don't like the dock audio not working in the car.

Well, I really wasn't joking - I just didn't realize that the other poster was you! I obviously need to pay better attention...

Well, add me to the list of people having this very same problem. It didn't happen until I created a CM10 partition and noticed the docks would not launch at all from CM10.

I went back to stock 4.1.2 via RSD Lite (stock stock, no root) and have the same issues. I have a lapdock and two vehicle docks, none of which launch into anything (charge-only). What's really weird is that in either of my vehicle docks, apps like Waze will not rotate to landscape mode.

I did try cleaning out the contacts on the phone and one of the docks, thinking it was a connection issue (after reading that the docks launched via some USB connection and no longer via magnets like the OG Droid). I used magic juice (electrical contact cleaner) and have had no luck.

Clearly, with two vehicle docks, I am very dependent upon using apps like Waze during my commute, and have been missing the vehicle dock functionality since I've noticed it was gone w/ CM10. (fwiw, it was 10.1.2)

(edit) Looks like on similar phones, the pds partition is the culprit? Docks not working :(

That is just bizarre that Waze won't rotate. I use it every day, and I haven't had that issue on any version of CM (all the way through CM10.2.) I did a very cursory search for a PDS partition backup for the Bionic. No luck, unfortunately. Would it be possible to extract it from the retail update file?
