phone won't make noise at all... mostly?

I should start off by saying I've had issues with water damage etc with my phone specifically relating to volume before, which were sort of fixed, which may still be affecting my phone now. But I'm having major issues with my phone speaker not making any noise when it comes to things like music and videos, the ringtone, the alarm etc. The only time I do hear any noise is either if I have headphones plugged in, in which all the volume works fine, or if I'm in a call (regardless of if I'm using headphones or not). Any idea as to what might be wrong?

Welcome to Android Central! When you're in a call and put it on speakerphone, do you hear anything? If not, then the main speaker has probably failed, which could be a late effect of the water damage. The earpiece speaker is separate from the main speaker, so that's why you can still hear calls.
