Phone won't mount. - Optimus S

Hey, I just bought a Optimus S last week for sprint, I recently had a Cricket Sanyo Zio, well my Zio mounted to my laptop every time. Now that I have my new phone I tried to mount it to my laptop but it's like it's not recognizing it. It is charging it but my phone isn't giving me the option to mount as a hard drive. I even deleted the sanyo zio driver, I checked all my other drivers and all my USB drivers are installed and everything correctly.
I'm running stock 2.2.2 if it means anything.

Welcome to android central michael, do you have the phone in debugging mode, also did you check what it is set up as under settings>usb settings?

I have actually turned on, and off USB debugging and it doesn't do anything, and as far as I can see my phone doesn't have, a usb settings page.

When you connect it and its charging and you slide down the notification bar it doesnt say USB connect?

Nope not at all, it doesn't even say USB debugging enabled either, I have to go into the settings and enable or disable the USB debugging.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with my drivers on my laptop because I connected it to my computer in class and mounted it, but there is nothing unusual about any of my drivers.

I actually got it, I installed the LG Android driver, and it didn't work and did it again and again, come to find out you can't install the driver with your phone plugged in, so today I just uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and it mounts every time.

where can i find these lg android drivers ive been looking every place even lg could you post a link i'ld greatly thank you.
