Phone won't turn on, but blue light is on

So I am super worried that I have damaged my phone because it won't turn on past the Samsung Galaxy S3 logo, but the blue light at the top is still on. I tried reverting to stock kernel following this guide: Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747 (AT&T): Reverting to stock kernel - Android Authority. Any help is very appreciated.

If the phone were booting normally, the blue light would eventually go out.

Clayton, can you boot into recovery or download mode?

i dropped my samsung note 2 and now theres a blue light flashing and the screen wont turn on
