Anyone have any news or idea of whats being released in early 2011 (Jan-March)? Thinking on the Android side obviously. BB is pretty much dead until they do a complete make over, Palm is spinning it's wheels, and WinMo has never been an option IMO.

We all know about the Merge/Thunderbolt/Incredible HD. Anything else? I think I speak for everyone when I say I am waiting on a:

4" or bigger screen
Front facing camera
Rear camera that takes HD video, with HDMI out
Lots of ram, external SD card
LTE/4G
Dual core processor
Large replaceable battery. With those specs, I guess 1650 or larger?

Keyboard I'm back and forth on. Prefer a physical for those times when I REALLY gotta bang out a lot of text for work or something, but androids on screen options are very well done.

Sad to say, but I am already getting bored with my D2 (free swap when D1 went bad under warranty) and my wife is eyeballing my D2 pretty hard :-) Her D1 has gotten REAL sluggish.

Thunderbolt looks promising, but last I heard the processor was basically last year tech (800mhz single core)on an otherwise awesome looking piece of equipment. Sense has gotten a little too aggressive for my taste as well.:(

I'm a newbie here :) First post actually, but I have been stalking this site for months now! lol I have an original Storm. I HATE it.. my husband HATES his. We're just waiting on our new every 2 which hits Feb 11th. I have been hearing about CES and have very excited!! I know we'll be seeing lots of new devices, but how long does it normally take them to hit the market after CES? I have to wait, cause I'm not doing like I did with the Storm and getting a subpar device. So how long does it take? I'm on pins and needles lol

There's no real answer. It could be by February or June and November. Will have to wait and see. It depends on the device. There's a better chance of the rumored phones now being released early 2011 then what will be announced at the conference.

Ah... well you're not much help now are ya? :-P lol.. Just kidding of course. Hopefully they'll be something nice out sooner than later. I'm about ready to throw this thing out the window.

I feel your pain! I had a Storm as well. I couldn't take it any longer so I got a Droid X on an early upgrade:cool: Don't miss it one bit!

Same here. Long time BB user but was really addicted when they put out a touchscreen device. Bought the Storm and Storm2 first day they were released. Don't miss them one bit. I still have withdrawals every now and then :p but couldn't be happier with the DX....and if they ever make a DX2 or something like it I will be back inline on the first day.

Even though I'm on sprint, I feel your pain. I started my smart phone life with win mobile and never liked it, got a blackberry and loved it, then bought a hero and ditches the bb, loved android enough that I paid full retail for the love of my life, the evo.
Sent from my EVO via Tapatalk pro.

http://forum.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?p=498984#post498984 this is an interesting read on last years processor.
I wouldn't count the dbolt out just yet. The G2 is a blazingfast phone that has been clocked stable at 1.8 ghz
and the fact that Gingerbread still doesn't make use of dual cores means it would be like buying a 4G phone for 4G useage when your area wont get 4G for a year, but knowing that someday your area will and you'll be ready when it does.

I hear ya. I'm just at the point now where I am for the most part happy with my Droid 2 (I was actually happier with the D1 in general being Google Experience, but the processor is just too slow now a days with the apps I run). I'm pretty much waiting for my "perfect" phone now, while the wife impatiently awaits my D2 lol. Just wanted to say if there was info on anything other than the Thunderbolt. Looks nice, just wish it had a Tegra and physical keyboard. Guess we will see what Sammy and Moto bring. I prefer google experience, but I do like Blur better than sense. Never played with sammy's TW though.

I have the Droid x which I really love, the problem is I need a global phone. I like the Droid 2 but I am hoping for something newer. I'll need it by Sept. So I have a long time to sit back and wait.
