Does Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ phone have face unlock feature similar to the iPhone x??

It will have face unlock, but it likely won't be as secure as the iPhone X. Apple uses a dot projector to render a 3D map of your face. Samsung phones don't have this, so historically their facial recognition could be fooled by a hi res photograph held up to the phone. These phones do, however, have iris recognition, which is far more secure than the face unlock and is on par with Apple's Face ID in terms of security.

The S9 will have an "intelligent scan" which uses the iris scanner but falls back to face unlock if it can't see your iris due to bright light, glasses, etc. I'm not a hardware security expert, but this sounds like a "weakest link" scenario where intelligent scan will be no more secure than face unlock. We'll find out for sure when reviewers try to fool it. But I will likely just be using the iris scanner. It's always worked for me, and I find it faster than face unlock.
