Photo compression

Anybody notice issues w/ the photo compression when sending via MMS? I emailed a photo to myself and it looked great. Then I tried to text message it and it was very distorted. So I re-sized the image to a much smaller size, but the compression still continued to distort the photo. I don't remember having that issue w/ my EVO. Anywhere to change the compression settings or any suggestions?

What app are you using to send mms? The stock messaging app? I know some apps (handscent) for instance resize images

I'm using the stock messaging app. I know it resizes the image, but I tried making it small enough, so the compression would be minimal, but to no avail. Maybe I'll download handcent and see it it looks the same. That's what I used on my EVO, but I like the stock app on the E4GT
