Photo thumbnail view g6 vs g8

Hi, getting switched over from g6's to g8's.
Messing with photos...
On the g6 the photo previews were borderless, and large enough to see the photo w/o straining. On the g8 photo previews are the size of regular icons -- about 1/4, maybe 1/3 the size of the g6. Have not found a setting to adjust this.
Am I overlooking it or is that not an option?

The app you're using to look a the pictures is either different, or the settings in the app are different.

It's just "gallery", but version 8.0.33 vs 6.20.29

As I've worked through the process further it does seem that the layout on the g8 is similar once I'm just viewing photos, but in the selection process of transferring between phones they are small.
I don't think I'll have any problems once everything is in place.
