Photographs Not sorting Correctly

I've checked a file 20171212_105605.jpg, shown in the Gallery in the day "18 Sep 2018". It's Date Taken/Authored date is 12/12/2017 10:56. The date Created and Date Modified are both listed as 07/12/2018 18:42 which reflects the date I moved them from my previous phone onto this one.

Hmm, that's really all over the place.:-\ You may have to try a different gallery app, like Piktures. Did you also try Google Photos?

I doubt that, had it been the transfer then it would have shown itself a long time ago. As I said although I can't be certain that it was the update, I am certain that this wasn't happing a month or so ago.

Ok gotcha, I've never did that way , always smart switch or restore from cloud . So something happened with transfer maybe we get someone here to help out what could be the issue.

You would delete that picture

Deleting thumbnails would only delete that thumbnail, but the system would create a new thumbnail for the main picture file when it's needed.

I don't think it hurts to try, but I also don't think it'll help with the sorting, to be honest.
