I have a Motorola Photon so far so good. My issue is that I have a plantronic voyager blue tooth and it works great with all my other devices and my past HTC EVO.

Issue
When I turn on the blue tooth on the photon it doe not automatically pick up the plantronic voyager I have to go to setting and in Blue tooth I can see where its paired but not connected. I have to connect it.

On my work black berry, my son's HTC and on my wife I-phone the minute I turn the blue tooth feature on the phone it recognizes the plantronic voyager and connects.

Any thoughts

The same thing happens with my old bluetooth. When it doesn't connect automatically I hold the multifunction button until a beep, then the bluetooth connects.

I get that sometimes because mine pairs with two phones. I've found that all I have to do is tap the main side button once and it will connect to the phone. It usually connects to Phone 1 automatically, but then I have to tap the button to get Phone 2 to connect. I used to go through the menus as you said but I've found that tapping the button will get it to connect. Try that.
