photos app is not showing old pictures

I did a factory reset of my phone and started as new. When I open the photo app, I can't find pictures that was already backed up on the photos app. On my computer I can see them when I go to photos.google.com .

I already tried to turn off back up & sync and turned it back on but it's still not working.

Oh also, I can see the albums showing that there are pictures but when I open them up, they are empty.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you already tried going to Settings>Apps, selecting Photos, and clearing cache/data? Then open it again and wait a little bit for the photos to resync (this could take a while depending on how many photos you have in your cloud).

Clearing data/cache worked... Thanks
