Photos are brighter in gallery and darker in e.g. instagram gallery

Hi. I have the Samsung S8 Plus and my question is: Although it takes great photos, why do they look lighter/brighter when you open them in the gallery, and darker/red when you upload to/open them in the instagram gallery, upload them to facebook or send them through whastapp? Thanks in advance!

is your phone by any chance on entertainment mode, or have you customized the power profiles at all? There's a "video enhance" feature that will up the screen brightness by 10% when you're in some, but not all, media apps.
