Photos are disappearing when saved to gallery

Please, any help is greatly appreciated. The issue is that when saving photos to the gallery, they are disappearing. They will display initially once saved, but will then disappear after a short time. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve?

I had something similar happen once.i would long press on a pic and choose save photo it would download but when i checked my gallery the pic wouldn't be there,but when i went to all apps- downloads the pic would be there so i just restarted my n7 the pics would be in my gallery,hope this helps

Thanks. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I can't seem to find them anywhere. I've rebooted....done a factory reset....still nothing.
