Photos not backing up

Over the past two weeks, photos I've taken aren't backing up to Google.

I have Lollipop, and photos have backed up since it was installed, but I reset my phone after Christmas and since then they aren't backing up.

I've looked at the settings and as far as I can see they are correct (auto backup on, over WiFi and mobile, etc.), but they don't appear. The photos show up in the Google photo app, but not on any other device. I can manually upload them to Google Photos. Photos on other devices will auto upload. I have 12GB of data allowance left.

Any ideas?

Have you opened the google+ app and checked the settings there?

3 dot button (there's a name for that isn't there?), then settings, then auto backup.

I realise they're provably the same settings as on the photos app, but maybe going in via a different route may kick something into action ?

The only thing you can do for now is download Dropbox from the playstore , it backs up everything you want it to back up. It's helped me. In the past.

I'm having a similar problem, but it only affects Screenshots. Prior to Lollipop they would auto upload to Google+, but since Lollipop they don't. My regular photos and videos do, but not screenshots, although they appear in the photos app, as you said. I have a Sony Z1s, still on Kit Kat and screenshots do auto upload from it.

Try going to on device and see which folders are syncing
