Photo's not shown on contacts, or messages

I added photos to my gmail contacts. when I receive a call from a contact in my phone, it does not show any of the photos. The photos do not show in my messaging (texts) either. I have set my contacts settings to access my gmail contacts which I placed photos to. does anyone have the same problem as me and if so, did you fix it so that the contacts in the call logs and messaging logs show photos. my phone has the lollipop 5.0.1 installed and is the new LG G Flex 2.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and make sure Contacts and People Details are checked on.

I checked marked all of my google accounts and sync'd the phone with gmail. Still no pictures show up on any of the call logs and message texts logs. I am not sure if it is a lollipop problem or gmail problem. all I know is that the pictures on my contacts are not syncing with my call and message logs. anyone out there with the new LG G Flex 2 having the same problem I am having?

Same problem here. Maybe one or two contacts actually showing caller ID and/or photo...

Was just playing around and synced my fb account. Brought many photos to contacts and such. Pain if you don't want everyone on your contact list, but it'll merge contacts with fb.
