I buy starter hunting duck dogs..
That are about 13 months old.

Be hard to find one in a pound.

When you spend the money to get onba duck lease.
Gun 4x4. Accessories and all.

Paying for a trained dog is cheap.

Unless you want to wade in the ponds and get the ducks and crawl back out with waders on.
And hope no gator takes a liking to you.

The creek the tornado hit in Onlaska, tx.
They killed a protected 16' male and a 13' female.

If a gator bites you and rolls.
And tears off limbs.
Does it matter where he came from.
The bigger the gator the bigger tha appetite it has.

By "we" in my comment, I meant my wife and I ... we opt to adopt and not buy. The comment wasn't intended to pass judgement or put down those that do buy dogs. I get hunting dogs, service dogs, etc. will likely have to be purchased. As of now, we don't have the need for a skilled/working dog therefore we prefer to adopt/rescue our family companion ... That's all I meant by my comment.

My preference is dogs and this is my sister in law's cat. The eyes drew me to take the picture. The "Cat" was either thinking of a rat or possibly how he was contemplating how it was going to kill me .LOL

My husband is the same way, through my cat is growing on him!
