Lovely flowers.

@winmod21

I may be the only Seattleite who has not read that book!

I may have to disappoint you. I'm not much for crowds and the Cherry trees may have exhausted whatever oomph I had. Also, still being lame/limpy I am averse to crowds even more. I will have to presume that prime viewing spots would be taken hours before. Open day of Boating Season is definitely to be avoided. Maybe I will capture some images from the TV!
Thanks for the confidence.
Nice Rabbit pic! And freezer crystals. :)

But, I'm thinkin' that, regarding the UW Rowing events, this coming Saturday probably won't be very crowded at all, for the 'Oregon State Dual' on 13 April . . . Just sayin' !;)

Btw — I didn't forgot about your Meniscus . . . but I think I thought that you had mostly healed from it, as you're so often riding all over on your interesting bike rides to the city parks, beaches, and across the floating bridge &c. Sorry for mis-remembering that you're still on the mend. :(
In fact, your photo-adventure trips kinda remind me of that ol' Beach Boys song, 'I Get Around' 🎶 ;)

You're so observant !?!?
Well couldn't help but notice, as you take very nice pics! ;)
I was sitting on my front steps, waiting for my family to come out to go to church actually it was a gorgeous day today here and looks like a very nice week finally!
That's exactly what I envisioned you doing. ;) Lovely purple flowers blooming above the Ivy. We have Ivy too. But I'd love to eradicate it. As ours gets out of control, and is so hard to pull up! 😵

It's pretty easy to take nice photos with a cell nowadays!?!? I mean I've " up'ed " my selfie game next level only because of the one million GBs they all now seem to have ?!?

Yeah I was ready and would had been on time to Mass but my kids and husbands are always late so I figured why not take a few photos of the lovely me opppsss meant flowers ?!?

Bike riding works. Walking - not so much. Steps and slopes not very good. It is taking much too long. And I gather meniscus' do not heal - muscles take on the load and the pain supposedly subsides.

Right, that's what I recall being told as well.
And my Orthopedic Surgeon was the UW Athletics Ortho-surgeon, at the time.
I think I tore mine in 97', and I still get sharp pains at all kinds of odd times, not just after strenuous activity. But simply by going up or down stairs, or just by stepping a certain way, or while diagonally traversing a hill, &c.
So I hear feel ya. 😉

Hoping you can continue your interesting adventure-photo shoots. 🙏

Rather than starting with leftover Costco chicken, I started from scratch today. In order to accommodate as many veggies as I wanted, I filled the cavity too.

Looks like it must've been delicious! 😋
I don't believe I've ever had a chicken, or turkey, or goose, or grouse with just veggies Folded....(see how I did that?=) ....into the accommodating cavity.

'Cept maybe once, in a campfire Dutch Oven (buried under the campfire coals) cooked Grouse.

Btw, for approx 7or8 years, I used to regularly trade freshly gunned Grouse & Chukar & Hungarian Partridges & Quail & Pheasants.... with the owner of a wine store, (right next door to the Starbucks #2 Store, that my X managed, in the U-Village, right across from the QFC, back when Starbucks was only in Seattle), for bottles of his gourmet wine, of which he typ chose, as I knew nothing of wine at the time we started trading.
Well, that is, except for wines like CK Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignons in Goatskins whilst skiing, or Chardonnays with apples & cheeses on San Juan Island sailboats or picnics, &c.
He was from New England, and had grown-up often enjoying gourmet Grouse dinners all his life, as he had had relatives who were life-long Grouse hunters. And he was willing to trade nearly any... of his very expensive bottles of wine for them. 😲

Today's bike ride. A loop to the Ship Canal, Discovery Park. Smith Cove Park, Myrtle Edwards Park and Seattle Center. It has been done before and photographed before but each time there are variations on the sky and clouds and water.

The grain terminal is still in use and a ship was being loaded today. (image would "not parse" the first times I tried loading it!!!! to out of order)

Great images! So nice to see your rides! Is that GPS software on your handlebar computer?

Always interested me how the grain (typically 'Winter Wheat' destined for Japan, Korea, Philippines, China, &c ), that's grown throughout central & southern Washington state, (e.g. throughout the central county of Douglas County (click on the Courthouse round icon - to toggle images), much of which is over 4000 ft above sea level, is transported by truck and then train— typ via Stampede Pass or Stevens Pass), to the grain elevators in Seattle and Tacoma (maybe also Everett?).

When posting a picture of the terminal a while back, I found its name which now escapes me! The ship yesterday was rather smallish. Most of the time there are larger (taller) ships. It is a good ride with some rather steep hills and rewarding water views. Best done mid-week when there are fewer people at Discovery Park and the trails at Myrtle Edwards. I "violate" the rules of the road mid-week as there are two trails through Myrtle with the pedestrian trail along the water and the bike trail inland (by anywhere from 20 to 100 feet). I like hugging the water which is more possible mid-week.

I recall sitting in my office in Renton watching trains piled high with snow running along the tracks after descending from Stampede Pass. Also seeing newly manufactured rail cars with consecutive numbers leaving the PacCar factory.
