Photos taken in stock Messages App

I've noticed these are saving internally and not to the SD card. Is there a way to change this? I don't see a settings icon when the camera is open or anything under settings in messages. Again this is just when I take a photo from messages. If I take I photo from camera, it saves to the SD card like I have it set to.

extra step, but you can always open the "my files" app and transfer them to SD in the worst case scenario.
