Is the hdr mode on? In the hdr mode the camera has to be held still for a couple of seconds. If not the picture may end up blurry. The nexus 4 camera is pretty good overall, average in low light conditions but very good other in other conditions.

I really can't take high quality images with my Nexus 4.
May I know how you guys did it?
Are you guys using stock camera app or 3rd party apps?
Do you hold focus then release or just tap to capture?
Do you using auto white balance, any scene mode?

Thanks

This image isnt that sharp, but it was taken while I was recording a video. I was impressed with how well the camera captured each of the helicopter's blades.

I almost exclusively use the stock app, and I use HDR when it's a more-or-less still shot with a wide contrast of colors.

Don't be afraid to play with your exposure. The more you use it, the more you'll understand it... and yes it pairs wonderfully while using the HDR.

Also, don't be afraid to take the same shot numerous times with different settings, you might surprise yourself by screwing off.

Here are some more pictures I took this summer...
Pic 1: Grand Canyon, on the south rim.
Pic 2: New Orleans, down the street from Cafe Du Monde.
Pic 3: Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans.
Pic 4: Lake Louise, Alberta Canada.
Pic 5: Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun, Colorado Springs.

After begrudgingly using a Nexus 4/android device the past few days I am dumbfounded at how you all got such amazing looking pics with your phone.
