I love it also , how far were you ?

Maternal Grandparents had a cottage at Pt. Judith, RI Breakwater Village when I was a kid... spent entire summers there, learned to surf cast, fish off a breakwall and dig around in the rocks at shore for green crabs for bait (all, thanks to my Grandfather), learned to snorkel, learned to surf! It's been a long time... they sold the cottage many, many years ago! Anyway, when I heard that Hurricane Teddy was going to be creating some major waves, it made me think of our (my Cousin Phil and I) old surf spots, so Patti and I took a ride down late this afternoon. Pt. Judith Lighthouse usually has 1' to 4' waves directly in front of it. Today, they were 12' to 14' and the surfers were having a blast!!!

That's the fence around the Coast Guard Station with a 14' wave curling in towards the sea wall in the background.

Here's one of the guys riding a 10' (heading in the wrong direction, unfortunately) - the wave collapsed heavily moments later... he should have turned left!

Got back in the truck, ran down the street to Iggy's and got some RI's best "Chowdah' and Clam Cakes" and watched for a bit longer, then caught a beautiful sunset!

Great cool, breezy afternoon for a nap in the F-450 @ WW I Memorial Park - what a view with my seat reclined (and no camper)!IMG_20200923_172809.jpeg
(0.5X Lens, laid on my console - "Voice Command" exposure)

These are of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the Revolutionary War in Old Philadelphia. This park, Washington Square, was a burial ground in those days. When it was renovated awhile back, some workers were so distressed, so I hear, that they couldn't continue.

At different focal lengths. And dramatically resized--they were actually 25 and 34 megs respectively, resized down to less than 3 megs each. Ouch. But still looking good. I have to play with camera settings. Honestly...don't want every photo to be 34 megs!
