Finally! Got my (almost) half moon shot tonight after dinner, over the lake! Cropped it top/bottom to help downsize it...IMG_20200925_192226.jpeg

After I shot the Moon, we had never stayed at the Lake that late and noticed all the homes on the other side, all lit up, reflecting off the water! Stood on the edge of the Parking Lot - I went to 9:16 format to get more width, then 0.5X, "Night" mode... even got the Moon and, I think, Saturn at the top left of the shot! It made for a great (easy) shot... (foreground actually looks like I used my flash, but that's strictly "Night Mode" - there were some parking lot lights about 30' behind me, but...)

After so many moon pictures (including one of my own), I wanted to try something different...

Approaching... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...and directly across the street!

Hey! I wanted you to know that this beautiful fall image you posted inspired me. I am a novelist (or, aspiring) and am writing my third book out of a trilogy, and your photo was the backdrop for an impotent scene I wrote yesterday. I understand the symbolism behind the photo and it is certainly very meaningful in other respects. I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated your photo.

Why thank you very much - I still have the "Full Resolution - 4000 X 3000" Versions of both images on my phone if you'd like one or both to use. I can email them to you or whatever... I can PM you my email address and you can then reciprocate or whatever you want to do, I don't have any Image Upload web page so...

I had to take out trash and thought the sky looked nice today.
Nothing changed in my camera since I got the phone.

That’s a great picture. Where do you live ? I’ve never seen the sun that big.
That picture was taken at 50x zoom at 7:13pm ET in Michigan. The zoom is why the sun was so big. It was my daughter's idea to try the shot. I'm glad I listened to her.

Grilling last night, and caught this out of my backyard.
