Photos taken with your P20 Pro

Do you live anywhere near the sea? I've had good success using that mode for rivers and waterfalls etc but can't seem to get the same effect I see on long exposure shots of the waves on the shore if that makes sense? Maybe I'm just expecting too much comparing a phone camera to a high end DSLR long exposure shot lol.
Next time I head there I'll try it. With the sea you need calmer tides. Waves aren't as conducive to smoothing. Lapping waves are easier.

Sorry to butt in...

There's a camera mode built in called 'Light Painting' and within that you have 4 different settings to choose from - Silky Water, Star Track, Tail Light Trails and Light Graffiti. It truly is excellent for getting long exposure shots that you'd normally need a tripod and ND Filters to capture especially in daylight. Many people don't even know it's there and I can't sing it's praises high enough.
Pro Mode has up to 30 secs exposure too of you want to go the old fashioned route.
What is that mode they showed as an example that allowed for a 58 second exposure? I watched it during the phone launch and I was like "wow that's crazy."

Some photos from last night at a gig.
Low light. Zoom. Burst shots. Stunning for a phone in those conditions!

You can do 30s in pro. But there are light painting modes that are bulb exposure so it's up to you to close the shutter. Not sure the maximum time on that.

An example of how special the night shot is.
The first being a normal low light photo in auto and the second is night shot.
Even the auto shot is brighter than it was, I could only see the end of the alleyway as I was walking down it.

Only got the phone end of last week, so not had much time to play with it yet. Still learning the best way to use it, hoping someone will eventually put a detail how do type video out in different modes

Anyway, here are a few pics that I took

Have to say this beach one, really did stand out and captured kinda what I was seeing, or actually made it even more intense

I know this said pics, but thought I would share some of the super slo mo vids been playing with this morning

To avoid the flickering indoors with slow mo, LED lighting is good because it's a constant light source.
