Physical keyboard .com insertion

On the physical slider keyboard on my Stratosphere, the period key has an orange .com on it in addition to the period. That should mean that I can press or hold Fn + period and get .com inserted (as pressing Fn then R inserts a hyphen, or holding Fn and pressing the spacebar brings up the list of smiley faces). But I can't get it to work. Whether I press Fn and then press . or hold Fn and press ., I only get a period, no .com. It'd be handy sometimes if it worked. Anyone else having this problem?

It always inserts a ".com" for me, don't know what's going on.

Thanks, must be a problem with my keyboard. Definitely not worth invoking the warranty for, though.
