I DO have all animations turned on in my settings. Maybe the animation is hiding the focus delay.

I have emailed HTC about this. This started happening to me and my friends EVO after froyo. Did a hard reset and the problem still exist. I have had a class 6 card since day 1 that the EVO went on sale....this is definitely one of few bugs introduced by the froyo update. You guys should email HTC so they fix it quicker than later.

Yes...I have noticed this as well...just like the OP said, it is kinda "embarrassing" when you are trying to show someone a pic on supposedly the "hottest phone out" and the pic is "blurry" until you "fix" it...

No problem here. Stock ROM..froyo..use stock Gallery, wide screen. Class 6 card.

Here is the deal... let's say u take an picture in landscape mode and its BeaUtiful in the gAlley once u switch back to regular it will try and resize the picture in the different orientation. Once u return to the orientation the picture was taken in it will be better

i dont have this problem either. stock froyo rom
