Picture error I need help with

I took some photos with my Verizon Galaxy S4 today. The photos in gallery show on the small bar along the bottom the preview but when I click a photo to see it its like the middle of the photo is missing and its squished together. I cleared the cache for gallery and restarted. Any other suggestions?

Turn off the app itself and delete all info related to the app (not your pictures). Backup all your pictures first. Then turn it back on and install updates...try again. Hope it works!
