Picture help

I'm a noob to the android world and a few weeks ago purchased a photon, then decided to switch to the SIII. The person at the store transfered my contacts, music and pictures but now I can't seem to find my pictures. I've looked in the gallery and there's nothing there. What can I do to recover those pictures?? I didn't have dropbox on the original photon so those photos did not get uploaded to anything...
