Pictures dissapearing

Took some pictures today and when I got back home they were not viewable. There is a place holder for them but no picture or data when you click on details.

Anybody got any ideas? On the new OTA and the problem seemed to start then.

Restart and you should find them in the Gallery. The phone probably has to reread the SD card.

Same thing happened to me for the first time yesterday, did the restart and they are there.

Nope. Restarted and none are there. I also hooked up the USB to view the files and they are also not there. Wonder if I should transfer and format the SD card?

Same thing is happening to me too, they just come and go. I restarted twice and for some reason only part of them show up at different times.

Like I said this started with the new OTA. Wonder if VZW or HTC even know about it yet?

Have you checked your Gallery Show/Hide Options? (Gallery | Menu | Show/Hide)

I have had the same problem. My newest pictures come and go for a bit. But once they are there I don't lose them again.

It might be another bug that Verizon dissent want to say exist. U might need to re format your SD card

SD card formatted. Nothing is working on the picture or video. Everything I take is corrupted and then eventually disappears. Is there anybody else having this issue?

Can I change where the pics and vids are stored at to see if it is just the SD card?

Astro, Quickpic, rebooting, reformat the SD card. Nothing is working and it only started on the recent OTA update. This will be the one thing that will break this phone for me.

Some of my pictures have been disappearing also, at first I thought I was imagining things, but now that I see this post I'm positive some of my pics are gone. I have not gotten the most recent OTA because I want to keep my Skype, so it couldn't have come from the OTA.

I still believe u can still get them from your computer but they might be scrambled throughout the SD card

I have had this happen a few times and I found on another site the solution. Using astro go sdcard > dcim > thumbnails and delete contents. For me there was another folder named thumbnails inside the thumbnails folder it was huge like 70mb after deleting that folder all my missing pics came back. Hope this helps.

Download SDrescan. Should find any pics that are on your card and add them back to Gallery. Works every time for me.

This is so frustrating. So I use Astro to delete all of the files in Thumbnails, My Documents, and 100media and they all say they were deleted but then they come back. WTF

I mount the phone as a drive delete them there as well and then they all come back.

I unmount the SD card and then format and they are all still there.

I cannot find a way to wipe these old pic files off and start new.....
