Pictures In Text Messages Fail To Download

I can't download pictures sent to me through text messages. I always receive an error message stating "unable to download at this time. If you have the solution or if anyone knows the solution can you PLEASE HELP ME?

What worked for me (finally!!) was:
1. wi-fi off
2. auto download off

I had tried everything, but turning the wi-fi off finally got mms to download.

I have read the thread below regarding this picture messaging failure. I have a Samsung Galaxy 4, never had an Android before. Phone is fine, having issues with this picture messaging though, no idea why the pictures will no download. Have data on, did all the tips and tricks below, but none of it is working. Help??

I've got a galaxy s4 and just recently I've gotten 2 pics in email..when I click on download it dissapears...where did it go??

Turning auto retrieve OFF on mms settings has just fixed wife's phone after not working for months! Thank you to those who suggested it. Now in wife's very good books! Thank you.

The strange thing about turning off auto retrieve is that you now have to do what the phone should do automatically. I would leave it on and make sure your data is on in settings/data usage/mobile data

WiFi alone will not let pics download in messenger. I keep my data off to prevent over use and as soon as I turned it on and went to each failed media message and tapped they all came through no problem.

My wife had the same problem after getting a newer cell. You need turn off the wifi network the hit download . It will work. It's something to with the size of the text or speed

When I spoke to T-Mobile they were very helpful. Go to Settings, Mobile Network Settings. Click on Acces Point Names (APNs). Tap on Menu (bottom left side of phone) Click on Reset to default. Should work. It helped me. Love my T-Mobile <3

Picture video received say "cant be downloaded" nor share nor save in either format net is ok

Picture video captured by camera cannot be saved it shows black screen when i try and reach my gallery

Can you help instruct me on how to fix this. It started when I had fb messenger and my granddaughter change recieve SMS in messenger I changed back removed messenger and fb app from my galaxysj36 but still every thing I have tried does not work. Plz if any way you can give me guidance I'd be most greatful.

Data is on it stopped when fb messenger took over SMS thanks to my grand daughter . I reset it back and since have deleted fb and messenger from my phone. Do you think I should reinstall messenger and ask them if they could return my SMS to be under my original my messagging control
