Pictures/MMS Received are fuzzy/blurry on my Moto X Pure Edition

Could be somthing to do with the mms setting in the messaging app. Try looking at mms attachment size

If someone uses a messaging app and they use the app to launch the camera and take a picture, chances are the app will optimize for mobile and send a blurry picture... If that same person took a photo and then launched their messaging app and simply ATTACHED the picture to the text, it comes though in a much larger size, and not blurry.

Anyone having issues with super compressed photos with Messenger app?

Whenever anyone sends me a photo via MMS (currently using Google Messenger on VZW) it is extremely compressed and blurry when clicked on and expanded. For instance, my brother sent me a photo of a beer list and the writing was unreadable in the photo he sent me.

I moved from a Moto X (2013) to the MPE and I never had any issues with this on my Moto X (2013). Is anyone else having this issue, and/or does anyone have a fix for this?

I mentioned this last week when I was having the issue but no one believed me. Good thing I'm not alone. Are you on Verizon? If so then I think Google Messenger and Verizon aren't playing well with one another. I downloaded a different messaging app and everything is fine again.

Yeah, I'm on VZW. I just downloaded Textra and it seems to be better. I like Google Messenger a lot, so hopefully there is an eventual fix.
