Hi All,
I'm having an issue where the picture I take on my Note 3 do not save in my picture gallery. They show up as empty thumbnails. This is very frustrating as I've lost many picture. I have an SD card and this issue has popped up after my Kit Kat upgrade. Any thoughts or recommendations? Is there an app that will scan my SD card to see if there are any errors? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Are u using a 3rd party camera app? Or Photo editor?

I believe pdub73 has hit it on the head. If you are using the stock camera I have found no issues at all. If you are using a 3rd party camera app and it has not be updated to function with KitKat your issue may well occur.
Also, I have had not issues under KitKat with the PicSay Pro photo editor.

I had the exact same think- is it a Sans disk memory card? Mine was 64 gig- It was fine for 4 months- then stopped working. I researched this and found out they produced some bad batches. U might be able to have them give u a knew one-some people have....I just researched again bit the bullet and upgraded to a Samsung Pro 64. Has worked great since.

hi there i was wondering what you meant by upgrade to pro 64 my boyfriend has the note 3 and his pictures wont save....:(:'(

hi - can anyone help??

All my pictures and videos are gone. Yesterday, had a great day reviewed some of the pictures, went to bed last night around 2 a.m. EST- did not plug in phone and woke up with phone on (as expected) at 7:30 pm.EST and all pictures and videos gone. Empty - empty.

Last time something like this happened - Verizon blamed it b/c I had phone plugged in overnight and an update probably happened - thankfully last time pictures were uploaded to the cloud- not this time.

this time - they are a gone - all of them - augh!

I saw a post regarding reverting time backward on the phone - anyone have a clue on how to fix the issue?

Oh and I'm using the camera that came with the phone - nothing else. Was viewing them on the Gallery, if that helps.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you also have the Note 3? Were the photos saving to Internal Storage or the SD card?

In the future, to avoid mishaps like this, I strongly recommend taking advantage of Google Photos Auto Backup: https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6193313?co=GENIE.Platform=Android&hl=en. I know it doesn't help you with your current problem, but it's definitely something to consider going forward.
