Pie has arrived in the US.

Anyone tried messing around with multi-window yet?

I feel like it's way more complicated now to get 2 apps in split screen than it was before.

I do like the pop up view though. It's kind of like a poor man's DeX on the Android side of things.

I don't have Pie on my S4 yet but I didn't like multi window when I received on my note 8. But with Good lock it is much better than on Oreo. You should install goodlock and try.

I have goodlock on my tab s4 and note 8. It has a few decent features, but overall I find it to be a nuisance and something that we should even have a need for.

I used multi-window regularly, but it isn't available since the last update. Split screen can work, but not as good as multi-window was. Old multi-window pairings still function, but windows can't be swapped from one side to another now. I don't know if paired split screens can be saved. Samsung took two giant steps back by eliminating multi-window.

Samsung just moved all the features not part of pie to Goodlock. Install goodlock and multistar and you will get options to swap windows, create app pair etc. And if you install task manager, you will love the way you have options to open multiple windows, window pop ups etc. I really like the way samsung immpletement pie either on phones on tablets. I hope battery gets better if not stays the same atleast.

I installed Good Lock and Multistar. They now function same as multi-window used to.

Still not sure why Google didn't adapt the Samsung Multi window implementation... it is so much better.

Q 'might' break Samsung's current implementation, though... one of the most useful ones I currently do use: swiping from a corner to turn an app into a floating window.

Turns out in Q there's a gesture to summon Assistant on non-Google phones, and wanna guess what that gesture is? Swiping from a corner.
