pin unlock only

Hello I'm new to the droid phones. I have been a Blackberry use for a few years now. I just got my Incredible today. I want to set it up where I can enter a pin to unlock but not have to slide to unlock and then enter the pin does anyone know how to do this? thanks

At the home screen press the menu button - settings - security and you can set a screen lock from there. There are a few options. Pattern lock, num lock, or password lock. Just don't forget what you put cause there is no back door. Good thing is that it won't delete itself like blackberry after 10 tries.

Thanks I went there but it still wants me to Slide to unlock then I have to enter a Pin I just want to enter a pin.

I believe you have to root your phone to remove it.

I've seen apps that do it, but they remove all locks.
