Pitaka wireless mag mount and Samsung Galaxy s9+

Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever used a pitaka wireless charging magnetic mount with the samsung galaxy s9+? I use a bumper case with mine so the back is naked and I was wondering if anyone has had success using the pitaka without a case. It's a heavy phone so the mount needs to have powerful magnets to hold it.

The only time I used a magnetic mount with a charger it overheated, melting the surface of the charger in the round shape of the magnet. Ymmv

Yes, an otterbox commuter. That may have contributed to it, but I haven't used the magnet mount since. Now in the car I use a charging wireless holder.

Not strong enough I'm afraid. That case design relies on multiple smaller magnets, so they must be lined up just so. Mine slips even with the case on. Best to try something else.
