Pixel 2 durability :( (bend test complaint)

I wonder if you all would have the same response if this were the iPhone. That bending is problematic.

The Nexus 6P faired much much worse in his video of that phone to the point he called it junk because he could bend it in half, yet I didn't hear of any issues of people having their 6Ps break due to the "flaw" he points out. Therefore these tests should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yes we would. No one just takes a razor blade to the back, or trys to burn the screen with a lighter, or attempts to bend they phone in half. Maybe your stuck in a robbery type situation, and the guy holding you up says he will leave you alone if you bend your phone as hard as you can. If it bends he gets your money if not, your screwed.....������������������������

Don't get me wrong - I think it's much ado about nothing but you'd think after all the hubbub about the iPhone 6 bending, manufacturers would be more careful.

Well I believe the guy admits that. But he puts this test to many phones, and this was one of the worst results I've seen. Even $200 phones have survived these tests with ease.

My Nexus 5 warped over time in my pocket. It twisted. Phone functioned perfectly though so I'm not worried about the Pixel 2.

Hard to watch the guy destroy a Kinda Blue Pixel 2 when it's so hard to get and mine is still a month from shipping

The LG G5 was heavily scrutinized with its hardware weaknesses and deficiencies but everyone is willing to give a pass to Google for some reason.

Sure, he puts this test to many phones--because it gets him searches, clicks and views on YouTube. He doesn't replicate real world usage. No one takes a box cutter or a flame to a phone. He's a body builder ffs, so logic would dictate that he's probably strong enough to bend soft metal with his hands.

Gee, it's not like he does drop tests, in pocket tests or screen comparisons, that actually count as real world usage? He's just found a way to monetize YouTube, and like sheep to slaughter, gets you coming back each time.

The only thing I can say is that.... he had a blue one he should have not ordered blue so someone who wanted the phone could use it. He should have done this to a black one which is still in stock on the google store.

I always put my phone in my back pocket. However I'm OCD when it comes to taking it out. In the 2 years I had my 6P I never sat on it.
