Pixel 2 XL Google Assistant Reminders Not Working

When I try to set reminder I get the message "Actually, you'll be able to add reminders once you turn on Google Now". Any idea/suggestions? Thanks a lot

Did you disable something? I just squeezed, set a reminder and got asked if I wanted to save it. (I never use the assistant, but I tried it and it seems to work. March update and Magisk, in case you want to know.)

Thank you for your answer. I don't think I disabled anything and I don't use Magisk... Is it for rooting?

Do you have the Assistant enabled?
In the Apps drawer find the Google app and open it. In the upper right corner (directly across from the word 'Google', not on the cards themselves) select the three dots -> Settings -> Voice -> Voice Match -> enable 'Say "Ok Google" any time'
